Hardware Just got a new ps3

Hi. I received a used phat 60gb ps3 that he gave me. I have an ps3 slim that's 320gb, Is it possible to take out the hdd from the slim and put it into the phat? I don't have to do anything extra? I want to do this because the phat is completely backwards compatible. Thanks.

that probably works but you should do a backup just to be safe

ps3 HDD are LINKED to the ps3 that are formatted on
so if you put the 320gb HDD i the phat ps3 you will NEED to FORMAT it


you can use the Back-up option in the system setting, to back-up the HDD
the restore the back-up on the other ps3

Note:Some thing CAN NOT BE BACKED-UP

that stuff

you will need to update to Latest OFW to get the ps3 on the PSN(to even put your PSN ID on the PS3 you need to update)
so you can link your PSN id to that PS3 (ie activate the ps3 for games/video)

so you can RUN the d/led games



and
copy protected save will NOT be back-up
