Hi there,

I've started to recently have the dreaded joycon drift while playing metroid :/
Unfortunately it started to happen in the joycons that came with a nintendo switch I purchased in ebay.

Is anyone familiar with the process to send them to nintendo to get them replaced?
Also, is there a cost involved?
I tried looking at the website, but it asks for a bunch of personal information, so I'd like to know if that's a safe route to go, or if I'll get a crazy expensive charge after all my info is entered.
Ah yeah, I'm currently living in the UK, if that makes a difference.

Thanks in advance!

I believe that unless theyve been modded, Nintendo will repair the drift without questions, free of charge.
Their is an ongoing lawsuit against them over it.
If you send them in you might be waiting a while to get them back, that is one downside.

turn around time isn't too bad with joycons. if it's joycon drift, they should fix it for free even if they're out of warranty. it might take maybe a week. the place I sent my joycon to when it would no longer charge was a place in salt lake city Utah.

If you have a legal bill and your switch is still in the 1 year warranty they do it free of charge (at least this was the case for me here in Germany).
