Hi guys I'm planning to buy a DSI XL(used) but its japanese, so I just want to ask you guys a few questions if you don't mind

1. Can I change the language's menu to english
2. Can I play english ds games on it
3. Is there a bypass for region lock
4. I have a friend who plays pokemon on his ds lite, can I play with him over the wifi even though I have jap dsxl
5. Is the acekard2i good enough?
6. With the 3ds coming out can I still play on wifi?

No, he can only play JP games. The DSi isn't region free and the only way to play games from other regions is through flashcarts. Nevermind.

No, he can only play JP games. The DSi isn't region free and the only way to play games from other regions is through flashcarts.

So if I buy pokemon black/white in english I can't play it unless I use flashcarts?

Crap, I was wrong. You can play English DS games on a Japanese DSiXL. That said, Black and White are DSi enhanced and will not work.

I'm studying jap anyway so I guess I won't be missing much on dsi ware soon
