Oh, and I appreciate the FAQ!

Keep it coming! Whenever I read other forums, everyone's got a PAL or a NTSC-U and I feel crazy alienated. Looks like there's a pretty good population of NTSC-Js here.

hi, anyone have the game DragonBall Z Sparking! Meteor(jap) on a japan Wii?? While the game is loading for the battle, it gives me an error in jap. There is anyone that has the same problem?

I have been playing Sparking Meteor J on my Jap Wii with no problem whatsoever, so I don't really know what to tell you.

ok some says Mario Galaxy JP on a Jap Wii will cause dual channels and some says it will not. what is it really?

also, is the only way to play Mario Galaxy JP is to finish the update? or a Metroid unplug trick can be done?

thanks!

Jap games on JAP Wii WILL NOT causes any problems.
thanks. i was just making sure because someone in this thread said otherwise.
so i really need to finish its update to be able to play it?

I played jap mario on my Jap wii recently. No problems - you'll have to finish the update to be able to play.

No this is only if you got a game from a diffrent region.

Like playing MP3 on pal Wii with US game.

Then the game sees "Hey he dont got the News and Weather channels!" and it adds it.
It does that becurse the Weather and News channel is diffrent on each region Wii.
And then you got 2 channels.

When you get dual channels, does it add channels in the language of the game that added them? Because I wouldn't mind dual channels if the new added ones were in English.

Yes, I believe that the channels added are according to the region of the disc that was inserted (ie NTSC-U disc on Jap Wii will create US news and weather channels) - UNFORTUNATELY those new channels WON'T WORK! Which really sucks...

thread revived because of the recent SSBB release so that Jap Wii users can discuss it here.

so any of you got problems with running a backup copy of the game? i heard D2Ckey users are having problems with it. could this be the same even with a Jap Wii? or are we safe because the game is Jap?
i have a D2Ckey and currently downloading the game.

Working well on my 3.1J Wiikey 1.9g. Haven't heard anything about D2Ckey Jap Wiis tho =(. Good Luck!

how did you update to 3.1J? internet?

a 3.0J firmware is ok right? since its a Jap game after all. just making sure. i have a 3.0J firmware.

You won't have a problem with your 3.0J... Brawl might upgrade ur system to 3.1J, but it's perfectly fine.

I'm still waiting on my newly chipped Wii to get back to me. Here's what it'll have - Wiikey 1.9g and 3.1J firmware.

I've got the DVD5 version of SSBB downloaded and the full DL copy is downloading right now. With both of these copies, and with what's in my system, how should I go about getting my Brawl on?

1. Run the update from the DL version?
2. Run the update from the DVD5 version, then Brickblock the DL copy?
3. Or should I do the 15% trick with the DVD5, and Brickblock the DL?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, so thanks in advance.
