Well all you guys with JPN wii:s, There is no problem playing the japanese version of Mario Kart is it?
I am gonna put in the JPN MK as it is, without WBB and so on, and let it update... That would not be a problem would it.

Does this game contain alot more japanese text then the previous MK games?

the mario kart channel is installed from in-game...you can choose to not install it

the channel update is on a 3rd partition and as such when you brickblock you can still install
the channel from the disc - afaik - WBB'er nullifies the 1st partition only - i think...

I cant open it with truncha...maybe ppf is needed...
and the freeloader is really needed ? I dont have freeloader and I dont know where I can get it

Could anyone who has the JP version of Mario Kart Wii post a Wii Update Manager dump of the firmware update - I really could do with this to see if it prompts an update after bricking with US SSBB.

hey guys, just wanna report that i did the WUM with 3.1Jv2 patch to my mario kart ISO and put it into my wii but did NOT get the prompt to update... however the game still ran without any problems...

i don't have ssbb jpn and only updated with ssbb us that was patched with prophet's inf file... i don't suppose that can update my firmware to 3.1jv2? perhaps there are other files in the SSBB update that are not region specific and we don't specifically need 3.1jv2?

ok, could you delete the channel?
because it is different region channel, I don't want end up with a permanent mario kart channel.

is it possible to use a mario kart japanese version and patch the main.dol to make the language english then use the wii scrubber 1.1beta to unscrub the iso so i can run a japanese mario kart version in english so if i accidentally install the mario kart wii channel it will be ok cause my wii is japan version.
i dont wanna intall a mario kart channel from other region since it will be useless.

that's what I said, I have a PAL BBA + wiifrii --> pal to ntsc-j
but I get a black screen
I want to know if wii 3.2 is really needed or do I need freeloader like it's writen on the patcher compatibility page ?
or maybe someone know how to patch it with ppf ?

Just reporting: Baroque is working fine with my japanese Wii D2CKEY (3.2J).

I use WBB, but I dont think that its necessary.

Okami confirmed working by me on JPN wii using WiiFrii2.2 to patch the game to English (otherwise black screen). Also used WBB.

How do I fix it? Please help I'm in desperate need to fix it. Can I download any 3rd party and burn it as ISO to fix it or some how ? pleast help me!

The highest firmware is 2.2J so there's no way you have 2.5! But anyway if I remember correctly the updates on wii fit, and possibly ssbb Japanese versions will unbrick a semi-brick caused by SMG ^^
