does (j)-japan refer that it's released in japan or the language of the game.
i heard that some if not all japanese games support english text.

so (j) released in japan w japanese language, or relased and exlusive to japanese only, or released in japan and supports japanese as well as english?

thanks in advance

Actually, most (j) games released in Japan only contain japanese language. The only exception I can think of is Sonic Advance.
Games have to be localised (translated) before they make it to America and Europe, which takes time and adds on a bit of extra data to the ROM.
So simply, no, most japanese releases do not contain english.

Yes. Like dice mentioned, the letters between parenthesis means the region where the game (rom) was released.
The most common ones are:
(J) Japan
(U) USA
(E) Europe
(F) France
(S) Spain
(I) Italy
etc...
Although most (E) games include English, French, German, Italian and Spanish translations whereas (U) only has English and (J) only has Japanese (in most cases).

yup there doesn't seem to be one for europe though (is there?) Makes it difficult to tell which (E) rom has multiple languages
