So I was about to install 64bit java on my 64bit PC, but I've came to a dead end.
The first thing I need to do is to remove java, right? So I went to the uninstalling program in windows, and uninstalled everything with the word 'Java' except these to:
" Java (TM) 6 Update 29 ";
" Java (TM) 6 Update 29 (64 bit) ".

When I try to uninstall it, I keep getting Error 1723 (google that up if you wish).

Now, you think that I should just install the 64bit anyways, right? Well, here's the problem, it tells me that I already have it installed, and that I need to re-install it. But when I re-install it, it just goes to the uninstalling wizard and pops the same error!
help.

Also, http://www.tomshardw...java-error-1723

Keep in mind it is usually a good idea to have both the 32 bit and 64 bit JRE installed for compatibility purposes.

Edit - I would tell you where to start on what to delete but I am at school and can't access regedit on these pc's -_-

Try running a registry cleaner it should fix this thing . If you don't have any then download ccleaner here , run scan registry & fix all issues .

hallelujah, I found jre6 on my laptop.
Hopefully putting it into Program Files will do the trick and let me delete the darn thing...

EDIT: F*ck yes, I finally deleted that b*tch.
