iTunes Match released; Streaming from iCloud is confirmed

Just released is iTunes Match for Apple iOS Developers, for those who want to try it out you need to be a developer, have a Mac running supported OS, iTunes 10.5 beta 6.1, and also a registered iOS device on iOS 5.0 beta 6

iTunes Match is Apples competitor Music Locker to compete with Amazon and Googles Lockers however Apple has gone a step ahead with their system in which if you already have a song in your library Apple has done most of the work for you by having 18 million songs already in their database @256kps files so your old songs that were like 128 will be upgraded for free, all you need is one song of yours on your iTunes folder and Apple will try to match it in the cloud, if Apple does not have your song it will be uploaded to your iCloud storage, the total storage is 25,000 songs, songs bought from iTunes does not count towards the 25k storage and this service will be 24.99/year (not months) Developers who sign up today will also get an addition 3 months because of beta.

The rumored no streaming from the iCloud ( which was rumored because AT&T and Verizon did not want their data bandwidth to be utterly destroyed) is false developers can also stream their music from the iCloud which was a desire by all iUsers, this will surely put a bite into Amazon and Googles Streaming services, also to note your questionable music *cough"pirated"cough* probably will be uploaded no word on there not being any problems other than there is a bug that some formats are not being accepted, some of the songs are not being correctly assigned in iCloud, and also Apple will periodically delete your iCloud storage so make sure you keep a local storage of all your music and files during beta also these bugs will be fixed before it is released.

With iCloud being able to Stream your music the rumored cheaper iPhone maybe an 8GB that would be useful for people who want to stream most of their data and have an iPhone at the same time, this service will also relieve iUsers of storage woes with music taking up a lot of their storage.

iTunes Match is to released to the masses along side iOS 5.0 and iCloud later this fall for all supported devices

interesting, but so far I'll stick with Spotify Premium. A lot easier to manage and I don't need to have the tracks to begin with (somehow downloading music via the internet is a lot more troublesome than paying a few $ a month for something that does it without the problem of being sued by some weird association (that doesn't have the right to do it in the first place for most cases).

Finally a service I can give Apple credit for. I'm too lazy to find and redownload all my tracks in better quality. I may use this once every few years to get my music library repaired.

Only 25,000 songs? Laaame. I probably won't use this, as I hate most things Apple (Damn you customer support!!) This is what an external HDD and a netbook is for.

Already see tons of things going wrong. "Sorry guys, you have to have wifi in order to use this service!" or "Sorry, we're experiencing server issues, no music for all of you!" or "Sorry, we suck! No music for anybody!" or if it ends up using mobile network "Sorry, you've used up your monthly bandwidth in 2 days! You're screwed for the rest of the month!"

so form reading all day today its not a streaming service but it still streams you dont have to have the song on your device however it caches the song onto your phone so it downloads the file but keeps it temporaryly and when you move onto another song since its cache it can be deleted quickly keeping storage to a minimum on your device, so itunes match will let you stream just not what people were expecting to stream
