Some has had it for a while now and others for a less while. So are you happy with your R4 purchase? Unexpected stuff that made the product disappointing? Other stuff that let you down? Please share your R4 experiences

This is just regarding the R4 hardware / software, not the microSD reader etc.

Im super happy with the R4DS. Its worth the buy if anyone is thinking of buying one!

They just need a few tweaks in the OS to make it a little more like the SuperCard DSOne (cosmetic change) & I'd say it's perfect!

Everything works fine in my R4, except that the MicroSD sometimes don't lock in the flashcart...

I have an R4 and two Micro SDs, one 1GB Kingston (japan) and one 512mb Corsair (taiwan). Some games gets the white screen on the corsair one and at least one (of about 15 tested) gets the white screen on the kingston. Luckily the game that doesn't work (Hotel Dusk US) worked on the Corsair so it's no big deal, but I was a little disappointed becuase I thought a Kingston 1GB Japan was the best microsd...

Anyway so the R4 is really really good, I just wish it was a little better at reading micro sd.

nope, nothing so far i received it this morning and love it, the only negative thing about the R4 is that my homebrew that worked on my ninjapass dont work on the R4 at all

Only thing more I could ask for out of the R4 is nesds support. Specifically the ability to save. Hopefully someone will update nesds with DLDI support soon.

i'm hoping for the game select screen to be on the bottom screen, so we can use the touchpad to select the game.

nesds already works fine on R4/M3simply, just find the latest WIP release that has some make_nds.bat file

It's playable, just doesn't allow you to save yet.

Very happy with mine. Had it a couple weeks now. No problems with it whatsoever. I was even pleasantly surprised by how quickly they adopted the ability to skin, soft-restart, and change the screen brightness. I expected those updates to take a lot longer.

The only thing I'm hoping for is more consistent support from PAlib based homebrew, but I think that will come.

I've happy with my R4. So happy I recommended them to all my friends. My neighbour got his yesturday and is very happy with it. Apart from the OS and needing a good card to stop castlevania POR from crashing its really good.

Some games don't work with download play but i don't need that.

It's funny to see that first the R4 firmware is released and two days after the m3 firmware

I would buy the R4 over the M3... But i'm still happy with my sc
