Hacking ITouchDS cheats not working :(

I tried using some cheats on Mario Kart I put it to 'Always On' and started the game but nothing happens I've tried other games aswell but no luck.
I've got the firmware 2.1.

don't use the 2.1 firmware cheat file, use the 2.0 cheat file, then try renaming the cheat file in dsorganize from CHEAT.DB to cheat.db, on a computer the file will appear as cheat.db but on dsorganize it will appear as CHEAT.DB so rename it on dsorganize. Then go to the i touch ds menu and ROM(Game) settings and select the cheat file(also, make sure the file is in/iTouch/cheat.db)..hope that works for ya

Thanks but it didnt work... I got a cheat to work on Mario Kart (All Characters and Cars) but I had to start a new file and then it worked or else it wouldn't I couldn't get any other cheat to work

Its fixed! I copied everything off my memory stick onto my computer then I deleted everything off the memory stick and downloaded firmware V2.1 I pasted back all my games and the saves (not the .opt files) in to the NDS folder and its working.
