When I install should I try running the base game?

Also, I'm using Goldleaf through USB to install ignoring system firware version idk if that's worth mentioning.

Things to try:
  1. Remove your save file
  2. Delete Smash and use DZ Tinfoil and nut server to install Smash and the update.
  3. Redownload Smash from a different source

How do I remove the save file?

It FINALLY worked with 5.0, base game + 5.0 only, the weird thing is that none of my progress is gone.

My huge fear now is, should I get the DLCs?

Hey there, I honestly don't see a clean DLC dump anywhere, in a while I think they might finally get a good dump, but same thing happened to me just from trying to install a Sans Mii Costume DLC...

Yeah, I haven't installed any DLCs, I'm gonna put that on hold.
