So after my sd card became Read-Only, i switched to a new one, but i kept on stumbling upon 'app closed due to an error' thingy. (before i upgraded, it was mostly just those crashes with errors n stuff) And this past few days i struggled to use tinfoil (for the eshops.) as it just gave that error and some homebrew apps did so aswell. I thought it might be because of signatures but i had already installed syspatches. But after checking sysmodules in tesla menu, i noticed that 2 syspatches option was forced to be off. Idk, i need some advice on how can i fix this, if i can't, whats a good alternative for downloading without usb?
firmware:19.0.1
atmosphere:1.11.1
hekate: 6.5.2
syspatches 1.6.1 (downloaded from here, lastest version is 1.6.0 on github)

Well if you didn't then test the card empty with h2testw , back up your data on a seperate drive and then test it, then again sometime card does become read only I encounter one also. Since there are fake card out there testing the card guaruntees you a 100% legit card if it pass the test.

From reading your first post, I gathered that you had issues with your old SD card as well. That leads me to believe that the problem may be your SD card slot. Test your card anyway, but examine the SD card reader to see if there are any bent/loose/broken pins. You may need to seek a professional to help you if you're not comfortable with taking things apart.

Reading and writing data goes all over the same pins so if reading works then writing should also work.

Files can have their archive bit set so that they become read only.
Hekate has an option to fix the archive bit.
I only know if MacOS messing this up sometimes.

The latest versions of Hekate can turn the Switch is a usb memory stick.
This is a good test for testing the USB port and SD card.
Just stuff it full with something like movies and see if they play from the SD card.
If they don't play properly, use htest2w to see if you might have got yourself a fake SD card.

nah, it was definetly about sd card. The card expired its lifetime i guess.

Also did the h2w test and results are normal. don't even know why i even did that since i downloaded over 20 games equalling to about 60-80 gigs. the main issue i have is just the properly using 'tinfoil'. e shops were a great way to save off effort. every time i try to download a game from it, it just closes with an error occured. i replaced the files with new ones, only to be greeted by app itself just crashing on the loading part. the software installing on hbmenu is always stuck on 15.0 version of tinfoil, and yet again, software closed due to an issue.

edit: after looking into my old sd card, i noticed it was on firmware 20.0.1. and the one i have right now is 19.x, you guys think there could be a correlation between these errors? lmk if i should upgrade. (21.x sucks as far as my knowledge goes)
