...Well, I downloaded Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the lions, and put in my psp.
My internet is really, REALLY,REALLY slow in the moment(almost as slow as a dial up) so I don't want to readownload it, and I left my UMD at my friend's house. And she went to the US with her parents during march break.

    AAAANYWAY.

The PSP just doesn't recognize the iso.
It doesn't even attempt to open it and shows an error message/corrupt file/anything.

After I go to the XMB Game menu, it just doesn't show in there.

So, I open my psp and...

....wait. Even though the file is .iso it has a winrar symbol. What the?

I opened the file...And it showed some folders inside of it.
Here are some screenshots showing what's inside the iso/rar file:
    *images removed*

Is there anything I can do to make the iso work, or do I have to redownload it?
    I'm running Custom Firmware 5.00
    ...so, yeah.

Whoever you downloaded this from seems to have simply rar'ed the contents of the game and changed the extension to iso! Fortunately there is a solution. Extract all the contents of the "rar" to a folder. Then download an app called umdgen and import all of the files (exactly as they are structured) into umdgen. Then you should be able to save as a proper iso

Did you try enabling 'view file name extensions'?
Maybe it's just a case of FFT.iso.rar naming in which case removing the ".rar" will be fine.

Buy the game, support the console. Fair enough that we dance around the piracy issue on the site but blatant "i downloaded it" is over the line.

^ it's fine as long as you don't mention WHERE you obtained the files from.

If the file is zip. Unzip the file final fanasty tactics there you should have the iso.

Then you can put it in umdgen then save it too cso.

Make an iso folder on your memory stick then put it in there and it should run fine.

I have bought it already, but I left it at my friend's house, and she had gone traveling. That's why I downloaded it.

Anyway, I tried doing everything you guys suggested, and it worked. Until my memory card corrupted the file.

But then I ripped the iso out my umd, got a new memory stick, and everything is fine now XD

    Thanks for the help.
