Hey guys,

my PSP will arrive some time this week and I've already acquired a few PSP games. Unfortunately, their scene names aren't always blatantly obvious and I really don't want to rename each one of them manually to know which one is which.

So is there a tool for the PSP to sort and rename PSP games automatically, kinda like Rominator or RToolDS for the NDS? I've already tried emuControlCenter and PSP ISO Organizer, but both force me to manually edit file infos, which kinda defeats the point.

Sorry, I'm new to the PSP and my research thus far hasn't yielded any results. Help's dearly appreciated!

The names don't matter because they don't show up in the XMB.
What I mean is for example, let's say I download a Dissidia ISO named "umd1208", after transfering to the Memory Stick, you put the Memory Stick into the PSP, go to the game part, memory stick, and once you press that a list of the game(s) in the ISO folder will appear, but not under the "umd1208" name, instead under Dissidia Final Fantasy, complete with the tiny movie and background picture!
...
I think that should solve your little problem with game names, unless you meant something else?

That actually solves only part of the problem. Good to know that the PSP will interpret the ISO accordingly, thank you.
But how do I find out which games is which on the PC, before I transfer it to the PSP? Otherwise it'd be trial and error to load games onto the PSP.

What's so bad about renaming them one by one?

ISO's are generally named after the games... ie) Dissidia.iso
PSX games are generally (Folder name here) > .Eboot (maybe keys.bin or document.dat also)(etc).
(EG) Final Fantasy IX > eboot & keys.bin

You could do a hash check with a scene release. I don't think there is a psp specific program that does that though
