I've never seen Nintendo putting in a battery holder instead of a battery with solder tabs. They should have done it for sure, but the battery holder alone doesn't look very genuine.

As far as I know genuine A Link to the Past (PAL):

One of the chips is an KH29LV160CBTC-70G. The corrosponding datasheet is from 2005 and I don't think the chip is much older than that.

All authentic Nintendo PCB and cartridges have their name printed on them. That alone missing from the PCB in the og post is already evidence enough it's a reproduction.

Note, just because Nintendo is printed on something doesn't make it authentic, but it missing definitely makes it not authentic. At least for their game cartridges.

Yep, that's very much a repro cartridge than anything honestly. Chips look way too new.

Chips too new, SMD was used for some special chips but not in a general way.
Contact on the side for reprogramming! oof no, it's not only a repro cart, it's a fake, no way those contacts be left there by any developer.

Summary, it is a reproduction, so if you don't pay so much and you are not a collector it's OK.

At least in the description they do state they are recreations and not original.
