Hi all i just got my CycloDS Evo review cart

But when i try to take my MicroSD card out its allmost imposiple!
I can only get it out whit a knife O.o Or whit my theets

Is this normal?

Yep - it's a fuckin' nightmare!
Just use your teeth (carefully).
It's what I've been doing and I haven't bitten through the MicroSD are CycloDS yet.

i use a nail clip on the first try, the micro sd had a little scratch on the top, now it doesn't work properly. Thank god i order in amazon since when i got the microsd, they said it was out of stock making me having a free sd lawl

The Kingston 2 GB (Japan of course) card has a tiny lip on the edge so simple to slide out. Sounds like from this post and others that it maybe worth getting the Kingston just for that one feature.

Most Micros have that lip, right? I thought it was a standard feature. Both my Sandisk 2GB ones have it. I want a 6GB Sandisk, though. So AWESOME

Well my kingston 1GB also has that little slide... every microsd cards got that.

aahh, good to know the little lip is a standard microSD feature. I was starting to think about buying other brands but was thinking that lip might not be standard and was concerned about it.

Maybe a manufacturing issue? And not just with CycloDS - I've noticed other cart users posting similiar issues now and then. Could be in making these carts sometimes a little extra layer of plastic molding in the microSD insert area will make the owners life a pain? Considering how thin everything is if the cart has just a tiny fraction difference it could make that little microSD tough to remove.

For those with a tough slide, it might be worth buying a thin file (not sure if they make them that thin?) and slide it in and out a few times to expend the area? Or maybe buy some very fine sandpaper, cut a tiny narrow strip and use that? Or as others suggest continuously slide the microSD in and out so that files down the area?

I have two CycloDS and both are relatively simple to remove the microSD card. Might have to pick finger nail under it two or three times to get lip but never more then a two second job.

I have one of those microSD cards with the little ridge, that makes it easy to remove it for me.
