Hardware Is this normal? Screen brightness max increase when charging

So I've noticed when I charge my 3DS and use the system, the brightness increases pretty considerably at max.

Is this normal? I haven't seen this in the other DS systems or, well.. any of my electronics

I think most devices do that when charging. The battery can only handle a certain amount when being charged, so excess goes to other places.

Did you read the users manual?
It says that at level 4 or 5 when charging brightness is increased

Mine's at brightness level 3 and still gets brighter when put on the dock

Don't worry, it's normal. They say it in the manual.

My guess is that when you plug it in the power supply, the power saver goes off.

yes, i have personal experience with that, not on a 3DS, but on almost all of my electric things ( mp4, ds phat, dsi,mobile phone, etc xD)
