I have a Patched og switch and I was wondering if there is a way of installing homebrew and atmosphere without a mod chip.
I would like to try to inject a payload from TegraRCM, but will my switch brick?
Any help is appreciated.

Unfortunately at this point in time, based on what we know, the only way to use homebrew on a patched Switch is via a modchip.

You can for all intents and purposes inject a payload but you will not realistically achieve anything meaningful from doing so.

So I understand it will just do nothing right?

You HAVE to own a modchip. There isn't really another way except for if their is possibly a method in the near future on how to hack a patched switch.. I hope you get to mod your switch soon because I am trying to mod my patched switch as well. :)

Hopefully things will change soon, so I can ditch my OG Switch and get an OLED Switch. I really want that Splatoon one!

i have the lastest fw so nothing. Anyway thanks for helping.
If you really want a softmod, don't update your Switch again. No exploit has been found for newer firmware yet, but if an exploit is found it's likely it won't work on the latest firmware, so the further you update, the less likely you will ever have a softmod.

Almost everything gets hacked eventually.
Never will happen. Read the white papers of the people who really know about the software on switch. They have done decompilation of all portions of software and realize this time big n do it well.

The exploitable system on unpatched consoles is on the non Nintendo part of console.

So the only real vulnerability is an hardware attack (the unpatched
is almost hardware error) and on the future that will be still true.

On OLED big n tried to avoid the hardware attack hiding the dat0 of MMC but no luck there.

It'll get hacked eventually, almost every console does. We used to say the same about the PS3.

bro...
they tried with the 3DS, and STILL people can hack it after all nintendo's done to make it unhackable.

The Switch is just a matter of time.
Like @impeeza said, "only time will tell."

And like @Viri said, "It'll get hacked eventually, almost every console does. We used to say the same about the PS3." True!
I need an easy exploit, I am working on an EPIC Splatoon 3 mod. So there.
