Or you could grab them straight from nintendo cdn with bob gui.

This is as pointless as the console war just go to your corners and do things your own way and leave other people alone just because either is good for one person and not for the other doesnt mean sh*t. Some people find one easier then the other and some people are computer gods and know how to do things on there own. but in the end they are both pirates and regardless if it works who really cares as long as your happy.

Not sure about the nsp thing mostly stick with xci so i can avoid bans for now that way i can update all my games using the eshop/nintendos system

Right now yes. But once free stuff is available, it will be much better. Mostly because of open source and because it will be freaking free... baby.

Gateway was once also the best in its cattegory. Now, luma is much better because it is free and open source baby.

There is no need for guide for this.
Your cert = your own console specific certificate.
Certs used in GUIs and such = "fake"/exploitable/idk or someone's console specific certificate.

Using own certificate makes Nintendo ban it. And because it is your console specific certificate, your console can no longer download from their servers, because they ban the access to it.
And those certs used in CDNSP guis are either "fake" or everyone is using single cert. In either way, once the cert is banned, no one can download with it and new one is needed.
