or at least prevent it? there's a particular wii owner that I know(being the anti piracy person that I am), I don't want them to pirate games off the internet, so I'm trying to find away to prevent them.
any IOS that I should uninstall or anything?
I'm planning on using DOPmii(I think thats the name) to remove the trucha bug on IOS70(to disable a few wiiware games), but I thats all i know interms of downloading or weakening the programing.
Luckly the person isn't very knowledgeable since I was the person who upgraded it(for backing up his games, but now he's gone overboard and started pirating like mental).

if that doesn't work could someone suggest the earliest revision of CIOS or IOS, so that I can weaken the compatibility a bit.

EDIT #1:
by disable usbloading, what I mean is that the USB is automaticly disconnected when a certain usbloader is plugged in or when the system is currently at IOS249

Uninstall all his cios or install the stubbed versions.

Also you could tell him about the 4.3 update and that he should do it.
Then afterward tell him there is no fix for 4.3 yet.

^lol im not a pirate XO, I'm a backup loader guy.

what homebrew apps do you guys recommend? to uninstall the cios or to install the stubbed ones?

EDIT#1 which IOS is safe to uninstall?

are 222 and 236 237 249 safe?

What I wanna know is what are you going to say to him when you want to work on his Wii again. Also what are you going to say afterwards when his games stop working?

to guy with ryu avatar(street fighter fan...rock on!):
I told him that I would install this so that he can back up HIS WII GAMES. he simply broke his promise, so ill tell him that i removed it because of that.

Why do you want to stop him? The things (weather good or bad) that he does are his decision only. Something tells me that in your search for stopping him you'll end up bricking his console.

Just update his wii to 4.3 through nintendo

That will stub everything except 250 i believe

Only way around this would be if he knows how to change what ios is used to launch games inside a loader.

You are a dick. Go join a religious cult if you want to push your beliefs on others. Leave your "friend" to do as he pleases.

^dude, not cool.

how would you feel if you gave someone something but then they use it for something that ruins the fun of making games for developers who put their sweat into making a game(they could also potentially lose their jobs). I'm doing this so that I can clean my hands off of his dirty wii. once that is over he can do anything he wants with it. I am simply removing what I had given him so that I can(hopefully) stop him from pirating like mad and at the same time clean my hands. I can't just stand by and watch this power hungry kid download games like mental.

unlike you I dont pirate. I only have 8 games in my hard drive(which I own disc copies of) and they're only for increasing the load times and for when I bring them over to a friends house.

huh?? Let's say you stop him today and then tomorrow someone else restore his loader etc, he'll continue acting like a hungry kid again. I mean, don't you consider your request a little pointless?

Just because he chooses to abuse the back up loaded to download games, doesn't make you at fault. He can make his own choices, you don't have any right to decided what he can and can't do with anything he owns.

he can do whatever he wants with his wii when I'm done. I just want to reverse everything I've done.

What I think is you want revenge because he broke his promise not because you care for him downloading games illegally.

^if I wanted revenge I would downgrade the entire thing and find a way to prevent him from softmoding no matter what.

what I'm saying is that. If he wants to pirate, he needs to make his hands bleed and not mine. I'm sure you would feel the same way.
