Now before you jump straight to the replies and tell me how it has been looked into before and cant be done, don't, I know all about those threads and how they all ended in there being no exploit. What I haven't seen though is what i'm about to talk about. So here it is.

If you use the youtube enough you have probably noticed it that it doesn't really crash like when it first went on to the E-shop and that's a good thing. Even when you do the trick where you lave and go to google.com and use it as a normal web browser doesn't crash a whole lot. The one place it will still crash every single time though is the exploit websites like go.gateway-3ds.com, where the normal web browser is supposed to crash. Now this thread will probably end like all the others, being that there isn't an exploit but I still wanted to get it out there incase something could be done with what I got.

Oh and incase you didn't know, the youtube app uses the same webkit version as 4.0.0-7. Being version 1.7498. The whole user agent is actually very similar.

Anyway, have at it in the replies.

If the exploits that work on the browser don't work on the YT app maybe they just need to be modified(?)
Also, if that's the case and it hasn't been updated in 9.5, maybe that's a potential entry point(?)

i probably should have mentioned that when it does crash is forces the system to restart. oops

Considering it's been proven that we can go outside youtube and search things on google with this app it might be possible to consult a website with it and if the app contains an exploit, exploit it...

Actually, this should be possible. As it uses an older version of the browser (webkit) which is still exploitable it should work! Probably has to be edited somewhat with different memory locations/offsets but should definitely be possible if it is indeed running an old version of webkit.
