You can install games to the hard drive but you still need your retail disc to play them. It just makes the games run smoother and have less load times and stuff. Simply put, you can't play backups of PS3 games yet.
how can i install the game onto my hard drive?

I don't know, I thought there was some type of "Install Game" option on your PS3. I don't own a PS3.

It's already been hacked. Then they took out Linux support.ddetkowski said:The PS3 will never be hacked.
Sony did their homework on this system.
Maybe it'll be hacked by the time the PS4 comes out..........

Yes, you can choose on most newer games there is an option.ddetkowski said:The PS3 will never be hacked.

So which is it? Either it will be hacked or it won't...
QUOTE(ZeWarrior @ Jul 8 2010, 12:04 PM) No, that's a 360-only feature. The PS3 'installs' don't install the whole game, you can't chose if you want to or don't want to install it either.
