Gaming Is the Pokemon Pearl/Diamond USA version compatible with EUR version?

I hate to ask but none of my friends know and my little brother wants a Spanish version (we are not native English speakers). I play the English version to practice, but my brothers don't know a word of English so they want a Spanish version (I think only the European version has Spanish). So I was wondering if we could use the DS wireless connection if we had different versions of the game.

i think he'd need to get the perla or diamante version.

and yes, they can connect(not 100% sure about local, but there's always global which is 100% regionfree)

If the US version can connect locally with the Japanese version, I think the same should apply to all versions.

I think most probably it will work because Pokemon (J) and (US) can connect, I don't see any reason why for any other regions not to.
