Hardware Is switch 7.0.1 crackable ?

Hi,

So there is someone that is selling me a unpatched switch (according to the serial number it shouldn't be patched) but it is updated to 7.0.1 so to be sure before buying it. Will i be able to hack my switch, add un CFW like SX OS (i know that i have to buy their thing pin + module usb C) and play downloaded game without buying them ?

If it's being advertised as unpatched and has a serial number that suggests it's unpatched, then it's probably unpatched. On unpatched systems, CFW works with all currently released system versions (1.0.0-8.0.1, as of this post). If you don't want to pay for SX OS, Atmosphere is free and will allow you to accomplish your goals.

But i have read that Atmosphere isn't that good, it's laggy and some times cause crashes.

I'd argue SX OS is buggier than Atmosphere, but regardless, SX OS is largely just a modified version of Atmosphere.

So first make sure that the switch you are going to buy is actually unpatched. Then, there is a lot of information about the pros and cons of al CFW (Athmosphere, SX OS, ReiNx, etc.)
Make sure you are choosing what you really want. A free option like Athmosphere or ReiNx or buy a SX OS linces.

For example I use SX OS because of Emunand (maybe athmosphere and ReiNx could get it tomorrow, in a year, who knows) and XCI loading through a USB Storage

I personally find SXOS to be far more superior than atmosphere myself plus really easy to set up has multiple support tools and great working Emunand personally I’d spend the money for it plus the support team is great to work with

definitive YES, you can "mod" also the patched versions of the switch, just to know, you need spezial tools for it,but hej, google makes it today very easy to optain them

but,your right. its harder to mod a patched switch,then a non-patched one,but it is possible (my switch has XaJ4006+ and modded!).
