Personally, I'm not really sure if rxTools is still worth using compared to some of the other CFWs that have been released recently and still doesn't support A9LH. I've been thinking about switching over to a new CFW such as AuReiNAND or something similar so that I ca have A9LH, a 100% boot rate, and to not need to install some CIAs to both sysNAND and emuNAND (such as GBA games). What do you think? Should I just stick with what I have or take the time to backup what I can and move to a new CFW?

A9LH with AuReinand leaves 0 reasons to use RxTools and 100% boot rate is icing on the cake along with ARM9 payloads like EmuNAND9, Decrypt9. Uncart, and Godmode9 that can be run from boot even if you are above 9.2 firmware.

Honestly, even if you don't want to spend time installing A9LH, I think it might still worth it to switch to another CFW at this point. I'm still using MenuHax, but after the new region-free loader was added to ReiNAND, it was quick and painless to switch over. Boot rate is about the same, but now I have functioning AGB/TWL on my n3DS, as well as functioning 3D on boot (without having having to close and re-open the lid), and that's all I really need.

With the removal of the "tools" part(which I don't really care) and the arrival of a9lh, the answer is no. You should install a9lh on your 3DS and move to either AuRei, Rei or Cakes.

The code in rxTools is old. Time moves fast. Better use something with newer AND updated code, than old sht.

I'll agree with what most of the other people above have said. Moving to A9LH & another cfw is the right move. It's unfortunate but rxtools has fallen behind on the cfw scene so until it catches up you will be better going with one of the other cfws now available

Heard aureinand doesnt tell you if you are on emunand or not though, like how rxtools has "RX" instead of "Ver" before the firmware number in system settings.

Considering the latest versions removed all the unique features in favor of decrypt9 and still doesn't support Firm0/1 protection. I say ditch for AuReiNAND, it's just not worth the effort to keep around and honestly hasn't shown any real progress for a very long time.

AuReiNAND does show you, it has "Emu" for EmuNAND/RedNAND, "Sys" for SysNAND, "Sys9" for SysNAND (firmware90.bin) [firmware 9.0]
