Gotcha, nice to hear. Do you know if there’s any truth to autoRCM setting any red flags for a ban? I read somewhere that autoRCM is almost instantly detected by Nintendo when online, but I’m not sure if there’s truth to that
Went online few times, no ban so far. Tbh not caring much whether beeing banned or not either

I used a tinfoil jig once to install autorcm and haven't had to do it since.

Only problem I've had is after updating my firmware, I could boot into OFW, but when I sent SXOS payload it locked up and corrupted my emmc. I had to run briccmi to fix it.

So if you are using autoRCM don't use the SXOS tool, use briccmi or you could be in for a world of hurt and have to take your switch apart and unplug the emmc to get into RCM mode again then hotplug the emmc back in with briicmi running to fix it.

And i always thought you could enter RCM by pressing VOL UP and Power On, without the need for a jig :')

Nope you always need a jig. The jig(or whatever other method you choose to work) is used to kind of...trick the motherboard into thinking it's on button is being pressed. not the physical one on the Switch but the one on the motherboard itself

Interesting find to say the least (unless the method was known from the beginning).

It was known from the begining. The first jig was a piece of wire, then moved to a paperclip, a handful of people used tinfoil(but if you do it wrong you can pizza when you should've french fried). Then 3D printed jigs were born, but you always needed a jig in order to access RCM. 1.0.0 can access RCM through software but that's the only firmware as of now that can.
