I thought people liked the R4 because it has more games an updates etc.. and if its so much the same why is it so popular?

R4 for a lot of people is the name for "flashcard" the thing with you can play game from...

But only one R4 have a lot of release is the R4ds.com, the very OLD One and the only one original R4
since april 2008 official release are dead, so YSMenu is born to use release from the DSTT on the R4
And recently, the wood come out only for R4ds.com (and M3 Simply, both have the same hardware)

So now, you have the choice between DSTT unofficial Release from Retrogamefan and many others,
or use the Wood on your R4ds.com....

But others R4/R4i use only kernel copy from others teams...

By acting like an R4 you mean the GUI or ONLY the way it loads games?

About the GUI it is easy to modify the kernel so it would look like the actual R4.

About the game compatibility list, atm, except updating all data files from Retrogamefan, there is no way to do something like R4 Wood. I am looking after a solution for that but I don't even think anything is possible without editing a ttmenu.dat but I don't know how to do so...
