    To block the auto updates on 3.4 and beyond? That'd be cool if it can be with the next couple of preloader releases. I also hope Ocarina codes can work through the disc channel at some point too.

    No, on 3.4 there's auto wii system menu updates.

    No there aren't. There's a change to the terms which legally allows them to update your Wii without your approval, but there's no actual code to do it.

    can't you just turn off standby mode to avoid updates?

    There aint no auto-update code on 3.4

    No need to turn off standby, no need to tunr off wiiconnect24!

    Duh, just downgrade to 3.2 and be done with it. Turn off the auto updates.

    This is the best solution.

    Or if you still want 3.4 for whatever reason, keep your wii unplugged when your not using it. That way, Nintendo can't update you.

    Exactly. 3.4 has been examined and there is NO CODE which allows Nintendo to auto-update.

    It is only a scare technique which they could've done before. That license update was just a rephrasing.
