Since a lot of GameCube games are smaller than 1.35 GB but ISOs are the full size regardless, is it possible to use something like DMToolbox to extract the raw/optimized data and save space? And if so, does this also work for games with streamed audio (Eternal Darkness, etc)?

My setup for reference:
GameCube with Xeno GC
SD2SP2 + 32 GB SD
Official memory card
SD memory card adapter + 512 MB SD
Booting from the latest Swiss via mini DVD-R

You can trim the ISOs but for some reason it seems to not be recommended on GC games.

Success! I figured out how to trim them without messing up streamed audio by using NKit. You can use this process on ALL of the ISOs you want to copy to your SD2SP2 without having to do a separate process for the ones with audio streaming. Even the usual problem games (the aforementioned Eternal Darkness) worked fine for me.

Download NKit:
https://gbatemp.net/download/nkit.36157/

Before you run NKit:
1. Go to the Redump Downloads page: http://redump.org/downloads/
2. Download the GameCube DAT.
3. Extract the DAT to "NKit\Dats\Redump\GameCube\"
4. Delete the old DAT in that folder.

Convert your GameCube ISOs with NKit:
1. Launch "NKitProcessingApp.exe"
2. Drag and drop your GameCube ISOs (preferably Redump format) onto the Source window.
3. On the <Select Mode> drop-down menu, select "Convert to NKit.iso"
4. Click "Process" on the bottom-right.
5. Converted ISOs are saved to NKit\Processed\GameCube\.

Now just copy the converted ISOs to your SD card and you're done.
