So I wanted to downgrade and I was at the part of the guide where I have to copy the files of ctrtransfer to the SD. My SD had almost no space left so I switched it from a 8 GB to a 16 GB card. Is that fine or should I switch back to the old SD? How much space do I even need during the process?

Just make sure you copy all the files over to the 16GB card and you'll be fine.

If you don't have any emuNAND it should be ok, personally you should only switch when you've fully completed the entire guide. overall, you make a sysnand backup, and depending how much games etc you have installed in the Nintendo 3DS folder really.

EDIT: Ninja'd?

I would have switched it out if it wasn't almost full. But thanks anyways. :)
