spend most of my day on GBAtemp?
Depends on your goals in life.
if the thought came to mind all by yourself.... it probably is bad.
It will be bad, only if you will have no one to feed you, (cose you will die)
I dont get it gbatemp is not THAT interresting, there is a lot of boring posts.
Better than an MMORPG
its ok, if you dont have a life
i dont have one yet, ill be getting one soon though
wait, does half-life or second life count?
yes, and no
My little cousin has fallen to MMORPGs. (10)
Got any tips for him to snap out of it? He's so addicted to MS, that he sleeps at 1:00/2:00... On his school days. He stays up on Weekends, and I know it's not healthy for him.
threaten his friends to stop playing
then he will
yea...uhh...I was like that on WoW and .... uhh.... MMORPGs are how you say....addicting?
Have an intervention. Seriously. I'm not kidding. MMORPGs can be as addictive as any drug. And if he's that young he probably doesn't even think he's doing anything wrong. MMORPGs eat your life.
While he sleeps delete his account.
That'll stop the lil bastard.
Problem is, I don't know his Account info.
And I believe his friends do not play Maplestory.
If he isn't too computer-literate then just put his computer out of commission for a while or something.
Go to his network settings and set it to a bogus IP, that way he cant even connect to the internet.
He uses Wireless internet.. Not really an option.
He's caring less about school and more about Maplestory.. Stupid MMORPGs..
You could overdose him - 14 straight hours on a quest made my cousin quit forever. Get him for a day or something, and tell him to go for the hardest thing he can do.
you can change the ip to a static ip and type in some random number in the DNS option in network settings ( works for wireless too..)
and as he said, he wont be able to connect to internet then.
but remember, just like all addictive drugs, there will be withdraw!
You could always block the site from his laptop, nothing too extreme
