I'm wondering if the 3DS may only be hackable through hard mods because how long has it been and there is hardly any leads for experienced software modders out there to go on and if we can't get the keys then its pretty much locked down on the inside...Or maybe im wrong but is it possible the 3DS is unhackable or does it just have security like the PS3?

as long as the keys and an usuable exploit is found, then a trojan virus containing the soft mod(Custom Firmware) can infect your 3ds to install it. This is called "injecting arbitrary code" in terms of hacking. The old DS had CFW, but since it did not have an SD slot, flashcarts had to be invented, but CFW is 99.999999% possible and finally useful and usable on the 3ds, because the 3ds has an SD slot. CFW on the DSi is also possible and useful.

anything is possible. as time goes on, the inner workings of the system will become more and more familiar, and people will be able to find ways to exploit the system that they aren't able to at the current time.

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar

Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)

Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
