Why did Apple build the ipod touch with a chrome/aluminum backing??
I got a hard cover case for my ipod and it still smudges and scratches lol

Apple's philosophy is "if it has no sharp edges and has chrome finish, people will buy it".

I wouldn't say it's that bad. The back can get scratched up a bit but using a screen protector should be fine for the screen. I don't have any scratches on mine really. People are just retarded and do stupid things with their iPods.

The moral: Don't put your iPod in the same pocket as your change.

how about not get a silcone case??? moisture gets up through the bottom of the case and smudges the back
its impossible to get off with a microfiber cloth lol

i believe i have a silicone case (kinda flexible like rubber) and i have no smudges, but i do have pre-case scratches because i put it in my pocket without a case
