Does the iPlayer video plugin for the Supercard DSTWO support .mp4 video files? If so, will it support a 480p video with AVC codec?

nope the iplayer doesn't support mp4. I haven't seen an update for that thing in over a year.

MPEG-4 AVC (or MPEG-4 Part 10 or H.264) is not listed as a format that it supports.

Q: What video format does iPlayer support?
A:iPlayer support almost all popular video format. AVI, RMVB, RM, FLV, ASF, MPG, WMV, MP3, include the DivX & XviD.

The use of MPEG is this case is for mpeg files with extensions of MPG, not refering to MPEG as a class of MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-3 and MPEG-4.

It is practically the same plugin.

DSTWO iPlayer v1.0(2010-11-11) Download
Video: RMVB/RM/FLV/WMV/ASF/AVI and etc (the resolution 640x480 can be played smooth, and supports .srt sub file)
Audio: MP3/WMA/APE/FLAC and etc.

Neither support MP4, the DSTWO iPlayer plugin hasn't had an update in 3 years.

unfortunately iplayer has much lower compatibility from what i expected. my 240p flv videos downloaded from youtube works fine. though 480p flv videos lag so much. i don't think it will be able to decode 480p AVC.

it would be really great, if someone was interested in developing this. i can only hope.

The Supercard team has been pretty quiet. I really do hope that they update the iPlayer plugin or someone shows interest in developing it.
