iphone 4s problem

my iphone speakers wont work no volume bar shows when i turn up/down the volume when i go to the settings it works though...

If you're jailbroken and use cydia tweaks: you may have installed a bad tweak that has remapped the keys.

Otherwise your volume buttons are broken and the volume buttons'board needs to be replaced.

Then it's more than likely that water has gotten between the logicboard and volume button board's ZIF connector, on the 4/4S replacing this part is relatively easy and going to a specialist you should be able to get it done for $35~40, But that's assuming there are no other faults now, Apple will fix the whole thing for around $150/more as I'm not sure what their current repair price in the US is.
