Ive uninstalled ios80 on accident and now i got black screen help me please, im not sure if i have bootmii as boot2, and i did have a nand backup buck my idiot friend delete it off my SD

So you deleted IOS 80(assuming System menu 4.3) and have no nand backup/keys? You're screwed, mate. The best you can hope for is to use an undeleter on the SD card, but even then, it might not undelete it properly. :/

You should NEVER delete IOSes below 200 unless you know what you're doing.

i just found a recover and got it back now what

Funniest thing I heard in a while. There is no such thing as an "undeleter".

@OP: How did you manage to delete IOS80 by accident?
You can check if you have bootmii/boot2 if you place a ppcboot.elf in the bootmii folder of your SD card (bootmii/ppcboot.elf). If you turn on your Wii and don't see the bootmii menu, then you don't have bootmii/boot2.

Edit: ninja'd by OP.

Now you find someone to flash your NAND, like @DeadlyFoez.

@WiiBricker: You can undelete files once they've been deleted, as long as they haven't been overwritten/securely deleted, so I don't see what's so funny.

there is such thing because i just used one :), ill try

there was some tool that can check the validity of the backup (nandbincheck iirc)
it could have been damaged by the delete/restore

boot with the SD you installed bootmii on
make a new backup
restore the old one

I'm trying to imagine this as well. Perhaps like this... (to be read with this nice theme in the background)

AndrewJohnsin: ah...time to play a nice little game on the wii. :) *starts wii, gets wiimote* Lemme just...OOPS, my hand slipped!
wii (homebrew channel): Any title Deleter: Delete / start / cancel ?
AndrewJohnsin: Wow, that isn't wiiflow! I better not mess with this...OOPS!
wii: Now loading Any title deleter.
AndrewJohnsin: Great...now how do I get out of this program? Hey...what's this? This wii runs on the same operating system as my iPad! Maybe I can install some apps with this! :D *clicks on IOS manager*
wii: IOS manager selected.
AndrewJohnsin: WTF is this? *flips through random numbers*
wii: IOS80 selected.
AndrewJohnsin: wow...so many options. I wonder what this does...
wii: This will delete IOS80. Deleting IOS may be very harmfull for your wii. Are you sure you want to do this? yes/no.
AndrewJohnsin: Harmfull? Shiiiiittttt!!!! NOOOOOOO!!!! D: *clicks 'yes'*
wii: once again, for comfirmation: this will irreversible damage and may even brick your wii. Are you absolutely freakin' sure you want to do this? yes/no
AndrewJohnsin: I'm absolutely sure I don't want to do this!!!! *clicks yes without reading the message properly*
wii: it was a pleasure working for you, sir. :( *uninstalls IOS80*
AndrewJohnsin: Let's see...now that I've removed something I had no clue about, let's try some rebooting.
wii:
AndrewJohnsin: hmm...I think I need some help on this. This hacking is way too complex for average users like me.

(note: I'm too lazy to go check the actual messages from any title deleter. But I'm about 95% sure it's roughly the same as mentioned here)

...and now for some serious advice: check whether you have bootmii as boot2. If you do: use it to load the homebrew channel. If that works: get modmii and download IOS80 and a wad manager (though you probably already have one). Restart the previous to go to the HBC. Use the wad manager to install IOS80.
That should do it.

Actually, there is a way to 'undelete' things from the wii's NAND. I had asked crediar about this many months back and this is what he had to say.
afaik there are backups of the SFFS table so you could basically undo the changes
there are 16 backups of the SFFS
so you should be able to trace back the last 16 filesystem changes
I've also spoken with pune about this on a few occasions and he confirmed the same thing.

Heres some stuff on wiibrew about it. http://wiibrew.org/w...Metadata_layout

So, wait a second, does this mean that even with a fully bricked wii that we could actually go ahead and delete SFFS's and fix that wii because we can revert back that one change that happened????
the SFFS is a table that lists all the files and folders and which blocks a file takes up.
when you delete a file, it isnt really deleted, just those blocks in the sffs are marked as free and eventually they will be overwritten by a new file
as long as you dont overwrite them, you can undelete files
if a wii is fully bricked then it was just one last action that was done, do you think that we can go ahead and use that method to unbrick fully bricked wii?
it wont always work, but it will definitely work some of the time
