Why not? It isnt the trilogy game after all. Its a completely seperate game. The gamecube version's menu loads and that's basically what the New contorl series games are. They just have been upgraded for the wii.

Now I really wish to try it. The thing is my harddrive broke and I have'nt gotten a new one.

I Know the IOS of the trilogy disc reloads. Been told this shouldn't been an issue. I don't know why I'm debating, Since I have not tried the game.

For the Metroid Prime games, the difficulty is Veteran

I know a site where you can get the, japanese Metroid Prime new wii control edit. It has been patched into english. Has all the features for the game on the trilogy disc. Plus it's own menu. I have not tested the game yet, but it should play perfect.

It doesn't work with it's menu from USB loading, only from disc.

I been asured by the mods of the site, MP1 WC's menu works and doesn't require an alternate dol.

MP1 the japanese new play controls version does an IOS Reload on actually starting the game game. That's something i know for sure, i was involved when trying to get the game to work at all, directly after its release.

You can only play the game from USB with Veteran difficulty and no menu

The game Boogie should also work when using the ssx.dol on the disc (Yep, "ssx" like in SSX Blur).

Ok...Can I trim the game down and burn it on a single layer dvd with no problems?

just buy some dvd-dl and burn the beast like how its it supposed to be burned.

because no stores close to me ever have DLs in stock. Does usb loader gx even load backup disc? If not, does neogamma support cheat codes. I have not used neo gamma since it's early release.

I'm shocked MP1 takes up 3+ gb trim as WFBS. the original game was able to fit on a cube disc.

I mean, if he went and bought an entire spindle of DL DVD's... that would cost ALMOST as much as the retail game itself... that's way too expensive... it makes soooooooooo much more sense to waste hours trying to unsuccessfully "trim down the game" so it will fit on a SL DVD...

or pirates can stop complaining about having to purchase blank SL/DL DVD's... even a pirate should realize that it's still a "bargain", right??

pirates do not realize that they are not supposed to have access to all this wii information in the first place, let alone know that some games are dual layer and require certain IOS.
It's unheard of!
Knowing that Metroid is a dual layer is too much info as it is in Nintendo eyes.

So yes buying a stack of DL's is a bargain, then you can burn plenty of metroids for all your friends

I don't pirate

My copy of M-trilogy got ran over the day I bought. (long story) Never even got a chance to play it. The game is unfortunely out of print. Nintendo is no longer producing copies. I either have to wait for someone to trade it in or pay over priced amount on ebay. Since i didnt throw my crushed copy away, backup becomes by legal option.

it depends on where u live, in some parts of the world (like england) u can't even make backups of the games u have purchased legally

in the states though i think ur fine (as long as u have proof of purchase), but either way I wouldn't go around advertising your backups

You have a modchip, and are talking about disc loading. This topic is about usb-loading

IOS Reload is a problem for both usb and disc. And if you find a solution for usb, that will most likely also mean you found one(more) for discs. But you are partly right, this thread is about softmods and not about modchip + disc where no problems are to be expected.

I don't use DVD but DanElec SO Mobile+ 500go with Usbloader i don't know Usbloader use my modchip for launch game on my HDD WBFS sorry
