Hacking iOS 249 is a stub.

Hello. I get the error ios249 is a stub when trying to access the USB loader. I have re hacked the wii and it worked for short time but the error has re appeared. Do I try to re install again or is there an easier solution. I'm a novice at hacking so any simple advice is appreciated. Thanks.

You must be accepting official Nintendo updates. Block them with Priiloader and re-install your cIOS's. You can do it all from ModMii.

Without a Syscheck or something similar, we can only assume that your IOS249 is indeed a stub.

BTW, how did you softmod it? If it wasn't with Modmii, try that.

Something similar...you mean...something like a USB loader? Like the one mentioned in the first sentence he wrote?

I'd say it's pretty safe to assume it is correct.


@OP: IOS249 gets stubbed (that is: overwritten by a big piece of empty code) by official updates or when going online (just as Joostin said). Either tell it NOT to update whenever your wii lies to you when saying it needs to update, or block it with one of priiloader's hacks. I second the request to do just that.
