Gaming Inverted top screen

I have a DSi that I accidently dropped,when I opened it the top screen was inverted.When I close and then open it,the top screen blows up in white and then goes back the the negative screen.

Did you already open the console and checked if the ribbon cable is broken or something? I'd open carefully the console in that case.

No,it was given as a gift and when it first came out so I dont want to risk it,I also dont have the right equipment to open the top screen(I tried to practice using an old ds lite)

If you already opened a DS Lite, then you can proceed opening the DSi, is practically the same motherboard. If I was you, I'd just check the ribbon, even if I don't have the upper screen.
