If I didn't have to take the whole Apple infrastructure and the "Apple way of doing things", if iOS was an open system like Android then I would've said iOS.Ok, thank you.

Isn't iOS more or less open if you jailbreak your phone? If I didn't have to take the whole Apple infrastructure and the "Apple way of doing things", if iOS was an open system like Android then I would've said iOS.
That's like saying "the Wii is a very open system as long as you hack it". Sure, it is - that's not the point. The system should be fully functional out of the box.Isn't iOS more or less open if you jailbreak your phone?
What's so "nostalgia glasses" about saying that WinCE ran Quake III when Android could only handle basic JAVA? That's not nostalgia glasses, that's a fact.ITT: Nostalgia glasses.
I use this GameKlip clone. Is that yours? How are you clipping the phone on?
I was thinking about ordering one of these recently.

It's cute that it works well, but it probably would work better if the emulators didn't have to be written in an ass-backwards interpreted language that's counter-intuitive and falls way behind native code. Android won't be a truly good OS until it gets rid of the blight of the virtual machine and allows for compiling 100% native binaries.I actually do something close to that but I use an ipega 9025, which is actually made for mobile gaming, but I don't emulate DS games since they look wacky in landscape mode. Also fuck the people saying android is shit, it's the only mobile OS which does quality emulation. Not to mention, an android phone + controller is better than any current handheld gaming device.

Who cares how those emulators are written? What's important is how good they work and they do work good. It's cute that it works well, but it probably would work better if the emulators didn't have to be written in an ass-backwards interpreted language that's counter-intuitive and falls way behind native code. They could be better, it's that simple.Who cares how those emulators are written? What's important is how good they work and they do work good.
How could they be better if most emulators already run games at 100%?They could be better, it's that simple.
Just because the games run at approximately the same framerate doesn't mean that they run accurately or that the compatibility couldn't get any better. They could easily be optimized to, for instance, use less system resources, putting less stress on the CPU and extending battery life. There's dozens of ways in which you can make a program better by optimizing it and making it less convoluted, even if it already performs well. Besides, you asked users for their opinions - my opinion is that all contemporary mobile OS'es suck donkey balls and could be greatly improved. How could they be better if most emulators already run games at 100%?
>runs on Android
Into the trash it goes.
Maybe I'm into analAs opposed to iOS where you can literally do nothing because the restrictions are insanely anal?
Do you have one of the old versions or a 9025? The 9025 feels just like and xbox 360 controller without the battery pack and a little bit lighter.I have an IPEGA and it's a piece of garbage.
You do understand that's not quite possible until every device running android has the same architecture, right? Even then, google is pushing ART to be fully implemented in android L, which should calm your tits down since that will run everything natively. It's cute that it works well, but it probably would work better if the emulators didn't have to be written in an ass-backwards interpreted language that's counter-intuitive and falls way behind native code. Not sure. Do you have a link to your Ipega?Do you have one of the old versions or a 9025? The 9025 feels just like and xbox 360 controller without the battery pack and a little bit lighter.
