Internal HDD change

Hi all

I have a fat PS4 9.00 with a 500gb internal drive and a 4tb external..now i want to change internal drive to 2tb SSD..My question is..if i Change internal drive..after format PS4 Will detect games that was installed on external drive? Or i must install all again? Anyway to backup 500gb and copy to new 2tb?

Your games saves are saved on the internal so you would have to back up your internal to a usb external then after installing the new ssd and installing the ps4 system software on it you can then do a "restore" from the backup external hdd.
