I just thought I'd share this...

Mabye the DSi's key is backwords somewhere in the DSiWare app, just a thought.

Nice find, someone may be able to use this.

Just one thing though - next time make your thread title more relevant as per the rules please.

Quite interesting though I'm not sure exactly what's going on in the pictures. it also seems like a a really crappy security system "How shall we hide this important security key?" "Uhhhh....type it backwards?"

It's worked until now.

What is this anyway? DSiWare?

i think its the DSi's code thing that we've all been looking for. i might be wrong, i have no hacking skills whatsoever.

Ok I found that in the Wario Ware: Snapped, and now I found the same thing(same process, not same letters) in the Mario Calc, the name of the *.bin is in hex and when put in a hex editor is the first four letters of the HNB_.lst backwords(if its the only thing in there)!!!

well thats what he just did...

so this could be really good news for DSi Owners

Probably just title ID or something. I'm sorry but I doubt this will lead to anything major. Still interesting though.

Why is this so interesting? You figured out the format of the directory listing, now what?

Hmm... I opened Mario Calc(in a hex editor) from my DSi and opened Mario Calc(in a hex editor) from my bros DSi and compared them and they were completly different!!!
Mabye each DSi encodes them differently when they are downloaded, or the sever encodes them differently.

Either that or thats the ID keeping it from being played on another DSi
It's just the Title ID.

It has nothing to do with keeping it from being played on another DSi.

The DSi's have tickets. If the DSi you want to transfer to hasn't got the ticket, you can't transfer it.
