Hacking Question Installing NSP files

I went away from the cfw for a while and now i see that there are a bunch of updates to sxos and i wanna know some things:

1. Is installing nsp's safer now?
2. If i install nsp's to the emunand and i never connect the emunand to the internet does that make it considerably safer than just installing to Sysnand?
3. is emunand a proper saftey barrier against bricks and bans ( if kept offline obviously)

I know that nothing is 100% safer, i didn't say this properly but what i meant was more like: does this stuff reduce the risk of getting a ban significantly
