Hacking Installing minecraft DLC

I installed minecraft with wupinstaller ages ago.

Do I install the DLC simply by booting a CFW with haxchi, then install the DLC with wupinstaller?

After that, I can I use the DLC even without booting a CFW?

It's free dlc, right? In that case you can just download the dlc from the eshop.
