Recently my only a9lh system (a 2DS) had its screen broken. The top half of the upper screen is gone. The bottom is still okay. I can't see a lot of things (Decrypt9 menus are gone) I also have a good n3DS in fine condition. I also have a $10 eShop card ready. So, my question is, do I system transfer and DSiware downgrade half-blind, or do I wait for the DSiware DG without system transfer? Which system should I buy Legends of Exidia on? I want to be able to install A9LH really soon, but I don't want to brick my 2DS, either. So what should I do?

If you want to do DSIWare downgrade, you buy LOE on your 2DS. I'd buy it sooner rather than later 'cause it might get pulled from eShop.

If I do that, then I will need screenshots of several menus so I don't get myself bricked. Especially Decrypt9.

The only think related to dsidowngrade on the hacked 3ds that needs the tip screen is restoring the nand backup after transferring iirc

I would still use a working screen however

Okay, well, I don't think I would have to restore the backup, there wasn't much on my 2DS, and everything worth keeping that was there is on an SD backup, and it's not like I would ever use it again because of how broken it is, so all I need to do is download LOE and system transfer, right?

But since I can't NAND backup my n3DS, what will I lose? (Assuming I backup the SD card)

backing up the SD will be pointless w/o the nand backup. outside homebrew related things and roms for said potential emulators, installed games and saves are encrypted (so these would be lost.)

Could I backup my saves/extdata via homebrew and then redownload the games on the eShop?

No. Everything on the 11.0 3ds will be lost including eshop data

If you mean on the 2ds then you can redownload those gmes on new3ds once transfered to new3ds

So assuming I didn't want to transfer because of loss of data or too much bandwidth, when could we see the DSiware downgrade without a system transfer?

So then how does slowhax work? (What games/software)
It doesn't use any games. Hell it doesn't even downgrade the 3ds.

You clearly want to downgrade so most people recommend you buy/own one of the diswarehax games so you can write the save to the game. And maybe have a working exploit to launch homebrew launcher

You also can't be on 11.2

Slowhax does/will use dsiware though right? It's just a method to write the corrupted save for dgtool/nfirm downgrade ...

Beauty.

I had my 2DS in a bag on the outside pocket so I can play me some Mario World on the bus. Then since my locker was so thin it bumped the bag when I came back to get it.

Maybe I shouldn't be so stupid next time.

(Btw could I install A9LH is this much screen gone? I could always ask for screenshots of the menus, right?)
