I just want to say thank you for your guide. I managed to successfully install the stuff on my PSP Slim.

Glad it helped.

So What's it gonna cost a guy to A) Get a PSP, B) Get an Extra battery, and C) a 4GB Memory Stick Pro Duo.
I think the US price is $169.99 for the psp slim, $15 for a battery(at play-asia), and $55 for 4GB Memory Stick Pro Duo(at Amazon.com)

I am also wondering whether a mod could sticky this thread so that people can find it with ease

Another question:

Once I have installed the CFW, is there any way to get back to the OFW at some point?

I see it only says 64MB to 4GB in size, regarding the memory card.

But would it work with a 8GB sized memory card? Anyone know?

8GB doesn't belong in the 64MB to 4GB range, so nope. I believe it had something to do with pandora using the 1.50 kernel and 8GB MSPD support was added in a later firmware...

THANK YOU SO MUCH! I'M HAPPILY RUNNING 3.71 M33 BECAUSE OF YOU! THANKS!!!

Hi guys, I have all the bits needed laid out on my desk right now. I can't seem to open the spare battery. I have a mini flathead screw driver, am I just being too timid? Any technique to get it open? Many thanks

Edit: Right I've got it open. It's a Datel MAX POWER silver LB 1000 and the PCB is very different, any one got a tutorial for this type of battery? I tried google but it keeps talking about the TOOL version of this battery. Ta.

Can't wait to get this working

do you have an official battery? i think those are the easiest ones to use

Yep, I've got an official one that came with my PSP but don't want to open it up. The Datel MAX POWER silver LB 1000 is mentioned in the Pandora FAQ as fully compatible - it's just that I can't find it documented anywhere which wire to cut :'(

Here's a photo of the battery, can someone please identify the correct pin to cut. Maaaany thanks

It's not a TOOL model unfortunately. It's the earlier LB 1000 model, which can be modified but due to a different circuit board needs a bit of direction on how.

wait so, is there a way to get custom firmware on a slim without needing another psp (phat) or needing to buy another battery?

I just want to be able to get custom firmware by just downloading stuff and not messing with the hardware
