*cough
Patched SysConfigTool + CBHC + sysNAND = You're able to install it without fear of bricking.
This, I can personally confirm; plus some people claim to have installed it with non-autobooting cfw just fine

However, if you install it to USB your console won't boot with that disk missing

It's just, as you can see, I 'only' have one Wii U so I really don't want to brick it
Bricking when installing a title is not a matter of luck; if you know such title has been proven safe to install, so it will be to you (ignoring corner cases like replacing your CBHC game :P)

You will not brick as long as it's the patched version.
If you will install it to USB then you need to insert that USB drive everytime Wii U boots. [I think if it doesn't find it, it will not boot at all]

Nope sysconfigtool is copywrited nintendo material and posting a link here or by pm is a severe breach of gbatemp.net rules.
Thought so... Looks like I'm gonna have to look on that iso site. By the way, why is it called 'that iso site' when most of the things on it aren't isos?

just use Mocha CFW and you're fine to do whatever you want, i also installed a lot of DLC'S for my games with Mocha CFW, but it will not work with sysnand unless you have a Mocha CFW or a normal CFW with DLC compatibility

This question was from before it was well known that you can safely install shit to sysnand. I think the OP learned this by now.

yall im torn... ive been hacking away at tales of phantasia GBA (the USA version) and have so many documents of reverse engineering i've done
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I just found out that the EU version is better in literally every way, better sound quality, better lighting, and there's even a patch someone made to make the text look nicer
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
Do I restart now using what i've learned on the EU version since it's a better overall experience? or do I continue with the US version since that is what ive been using, and if someone decides to play my hack, it would most likely be that version?
