Another tip: If you started messing with files in the meta folder, you could change the game name and icon and etc so it actually shows as your game in loadiine. Unnecessary for the most part, but I was glad to have all my games show up as the proper title ;) I also gave my injections custom TitleIDs that other games wouldn't be using so there wouldn't be any conflicts down the line (Like INJ101, INJ201, etc)

Anyways sorry for the long ramble post, hopefully there's something helpful in there
What's the structure of the meta folder to have correct names and IDs? I only have the icon.tga thing

Quoting from ddd launch thread:
Special method to dump the /vol/meta folder
If you want to dump the /vol/meta folder then the method is different based on the launched title type.

WiiU disc titles and titles installed on WiiU USB Hard drive:
1. After you launched the title, press the Home button.
2. Wait on the Home menu until all files are dumped.
3. You can now close the Home menu and either return to the game or exit.

Titles installed on the WiiU system memory (NAND):
1. After you launched the title, press the Home button
2. Exit to the system menu
3. Wait 30 seconds on the system menu, until all files are dumped. The dump will start about 15 seconds after the system menu is loaded.

These are the proper methods to dump the meta folder. I didn't read this the first time either and ended up with a few partial meta dumps myself. Once you dump the meta folder, you can just edit the game title and TitleID in the meta.xml file with NotePad++ or something similar.

Anybody have a video on this? I feel if the DS side of things is pretty easy to inject, so should the N64 side. As in, that one literally just had you dump your DS ROM and place it into the program so that it would convert it into a ROM that is ready for Loadiine. And the majority of games I have used this method with have worked. But, how come the N64 does not have a similar method? Kind of peculiar.

Been wanting to inject a certain game for quite some time now, but there's still no easy method of doing so like there is with the DS. I just have to ask people for the ROM files since they know how to do it.

n64 compat is basicaly crap and very very few games work unlike ds injection that works amazing if you tell me the name of the game i can tell you if it works or not.

Here's a hint the N64 is not the DS. The DS emulator is pretty good, it has a few glitches noticeable in a few games but mostly it just works. This means that all that has to be done is just but the rom in the file-system of another VC title. This is trivial and can even easily be done without any kind of tools.

However on N64 side things are very different. Though injecting the rom itself is really not that hard, basically just as easy really. The emulators support is FAR more limited, as in it just doesn't run most games at all. You'll also find that most games which are supported require special .ini files that configure certain settings and even include cheats Nintendo made in order to make the game run properly on the VC emulator. There is really no way of automating this .ini making process which means that if there even is a configuration which would work it would require quite a bit of skill and a good understanding of how the VC emulator works to be able to do it. And it would be a rom for rom process.

Tl:Dr
No you can't and will never be able to easily inject N64 VC titles on Wii U.

I suggest you always use F-Zero X as the base for every injection from now on.
It's the one with the latest compiled RPX, so it might have some advantages in terms of options and configurations when it comes to INI files.
All you have to do is simply replace the ROM and the appropriate INI for whatever ROM you want to use.
