Homebrew Info About Gateway?

Can anyone here fill me in about what they know regarding the Gateway Flash Card? I know that it's needed to be able to use gateshark codes without converting it but as far as the Gateway goes I'm in the dark about what it is, how it performs, how it uses gateshark codes, ect.

gateway 3ds pretty much is the worst thing you could do with your money.
If you're on fw under 10.4 downgrade to 9.2 using browserhax and then install a9lh+aureinand and free roms http://s31.postimg.org/yaiw9hs57/Captura_de_Ecr_18.png
If you're on FW higher than 10.4 use a cubic ninja cart or oot+powersaves or a red button/blue button sky3ds to hax the 3ds so you can install a9lh+aureinand

but thares a really cool and fun cheat plugin for gateway thats better then ntr but ntr mite make it better in time

I doubt that gateway could be in any POSSIBLE WAY better than a9lh+aureinand and GATEWAY is PAID , YOU're paying for PIRACY.

Granted, but you are also paying for convenience. Not all people want to install directly to the SD Card, some may just want to drag and drop to a separate SD Card and play that way. Regardless either way is fine, but one must do research to see what is going to be the best choice for their needs.

Dont forget about the bans it's way more probable that you bet your NNID banned using a flashcard(sky3ds or gateway) than a CIA, and IMO the CIA is way more convenient as it's right in the home menu and doesn't require a "GATEWAY" launch

So that being all said what methods are there for using cheat codes?

I think it may go without saying but I imagine there is no easy way to use cheat codes for games WITHOUT hacking the 3DS. Like for example installing NTR. I'm pretty sure there isn't some device that allows you to do that...well besides Power Saves which writes the save with the codes onto the cart itself.

I'm actually doing this for a friend but he's hesitant about softmodding his 3DS given the risks. So before I dismiss it as there is no easy way to get cheats, I wanted to ask first.

you got to hack the 3ds for using gateway for installing a9lh+aureinand. EVEN for running HAX

ntr CFW is the way to go in cheats matter

So I've pretty much have gotten my answer I needed to get for my friend. But while discussion is still going on here is there a method to converting Gateshark codes to NTR Plugin format? I've been shown method of the debugger as well as the method of using Python and the various other programs needed. I don't suppose a simplified methods has been made to make the conversion? I've actually numerous times tried the method with Python but when it gets to the coding I just drop off there as far as my ability to comprehend it. I've actually tried the debugger as well but never got the plugin I needed at the end. Perhaps something better is in development?

You want Gateway for cheats? There are at least two homebrew plugins that allow cheats, that'd be NTR CFW and HANS.

Gateway's cheating features are better than anything else out there, but that alone doesn't really make it worth getting these days.
