If you have a 1000 or 2000, you can already run permanent CFW using the CIPL Flasher.

    PSP CFW 6.61 Infinity tutorial
(PSPs 07g/09g on <6.31 may brick on install.) Update to OFW 6.61.
    1. To install, copy PSP directory onto PSP memory card.
    2. Place the respective 631.PBP and 661.PBP into the MAKER folder. Run the MAKER app.
    3. If successful, there will be a DATA.MFC file in the MAKER folder.
    4. Copy this to the FLASHER folder and run the FLASHER app.
    4. After this, your device will reboot and you'll be in Infinity.
    5. From here, install any CFW.
    6. Activate the permanent patch in the Infinity Configuration (STAGE) app.

I thought the latest version was 1.02, also where you get it from? (she only wanted the infinity installer files not instructions :P )

I think v1.02 potentially could cause bricks. I have used v1.0 with 8 3001s, so I stayed with what worked. I archive these kinds of files physically and virtually to streamline the processes and to avoid these situations.

All set up, bootloader on update says error, no files. Is that normal?
Also, can I delete those folders now or keep em?

Yes, you get an error screen on the initial boot afterwards. You can delete your whole memory card now.

I also couldn't acquire the files a few days ago, so I go them through the web archive.

You are correct. It's been awhile since I have done it, I just remembered it happens during the process.
